Work stream 3 - Improving the RECOGNITION available to veterans in wider
society.
- Education Project. Together with the Departments for Education
and Skills and for Culture, Media and Sport, set up, launch and monitor
an Education Project to link secondary school children and their teachers
with events connected with the commemoration of WWII anniversaries.
- Lapel badges. To ask for designs for a badge to be issued
to all veterans travelling to commemorative events linked to WWII anniversaries.
- Commemorative booklets. In conjunction with the Imperial War Museum, Departments for Education and Skills (DfES) and the Confederation of British Service and ex-Service Organisations (COBSEO), to supervise the production of commemorative booklets as part of the commemoration of WWII anniversaries.
