Veterans plenary
The Plenary meets annually and is chaired by the Minister for
Veterans. Consistent with the core theme of communication, some 250 delegates
from a wide range of representatives from the veterans community are invited
to attend the annual meeting. It provides the Minister with the opportunity
to deliver the strategic priorities of the Veterans Initiative to the assembly
and give updates on the progress achieved. Representatives from across Government
are invited to update those attending on matters concerning veterans issues
that fall within their Department.
Delegates are invited to express their views and concerns through
question and answer sessions and open forums. Attendance at the Plenary is
encouraging where, 175 delegates representing a wide range of ex-service
organisations have attended the last two Plenarys.
