Aero Grand Prix, military demonstrations, concerts, firework displays, gala dinners – there’s something for everyone during Blackpool’s nine-day celebration of Veterans Day.
The exciting programme of events, the most ambitious ever assembled for Veterans Day, will appeal to veterans of all ages, their families, friends, members of the Armed Forces and the wider general public. The festival will run from Saturday 21 June to Sunday 29 June, incorporating the day of national celebration and commemoration itself on Friday 27 June.
Veterans Week 2008 is organised by Blackpool Council in partnership with the Fylde Ex-Service Liaison Committee and will ‘Honour and Unite All Who Served’.
