ASSOCIATION OF WRENS 1920-2010

The Association of Wrens was formed in 1920 and is still relevant today; our membership is drawn from ex-WRNS/QARNNS personnel together with those women currently serving in, or retired from, the Royal Navy. The age of members ranges from young women in their early twenties to those who served in WWII, including several centenarians.
This year, the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Association of Wrens will be celebrated at a service of commemoration to take place in the Royal Naval church of St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, on 13 November 2010 at 1130am, followed by a buffet lunch. On this national weekend of Remembrance we are also honoured to have permission to parade the Association of Wrens standard at the Festival of Remembrance in the Albert Hall and will once again be represented by a large contingent of Association members at the Cenotaph Parade. .
The Association of Wrens fully supports the valued work of the WRNS Benevolent Trust
