Veterans-UK 2012 ‘user’ survey results are now in!

189 Veterans-UK users had there say…

During the month of April, SPVA hosted the annual Veterans-UK 2012 user survey.    The 18 question survey was designed to obtain feedback and provide ratings against a number of user specific questions.

Karen Awere, SPVA Communications lead on the survey commented:

“The Veterans-UK user survey and its evaluation is so important to us and is essential in understanding our website and its effectiveness as another means of communication.  It provides us with valuable insight into what is considered to work well and equally what doesn’t, and assists in us identifying areas for improvement.  We can’t thank enough all those who very kindly took the time to complete the survey, and in addition to all those who provided individual comments.”

The Survey said..

The survey found that 79.3% of those completing the survey are Ex-service, of which 88.9% were males, the general age was found to be between 55-64.  The survey also showed that the most popular Veterans-UK web-pages were Pensions & Compensation closely followed by Service Records, Medals and Badges, and the Veterans Community pages.

Here is a brief snap-shot of the findings in more detail:-

74.6% of users said overall they were very satisfied or satisfied with their visit to the website.

85.1% said they got some if not most of what they wanted from the site, with above a third saying they got everything they needed.

76.7% of users said the site “Ease of use” was good or better.

78.3% said the “attractiveness of design and appearance” was very good or good.

69.3% said the “ease of information and services” was very good or good.

76.7% said good or above to having found the information “clear and easy to understand”.

73% said good or above to the information being “accurate and up to date”.

68.8% said the “usefulness of the site search” was good or better.

80.4% said they would “recommend this website to a friend, colleague or family member”.

The survey result findings will now be analysed, in particular the free text comments, to see if there are ways in which we can incorporate some of the suggestions for improvement.
