The Royal Tattoo, held in the beautiful private grounds of Windsor Castle in the evenings of the 12th to the 15th of May 2010, will honour Britain’s servicemen and women with a military and musical spectacular. The third annual Royal Tattoo promises to offer a packed programme of British and international, modern and traditional military displays, entertainment and competitions.

The main highlights include the celebrations of the 350th Anniversary of the Household Cavalry, the 150th Anniversary of the Cadet Force, and commemorations of the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The Royal Navy Field Gun Run, held for only the second time since the Royal Tournament, will delight the audience. The Portsmouth team was a worthy winner last year and was awarded the Land Rover Trophy by Her Majesty The Queen. The Royal Marine Commandos will also perform an action-packed reconstruction of real events which took place whilst on operation in Afghanistan. The evening will culminate in a spectacular finale featuring recently returned personnel in an emotional march which will allow the audience to show its appreciation for Britain’s serving troops.

This Tri-Service event is not-for-profit and all surplus proceeds go directly to the Royal British Legion.
