THE ROYAL CALEDONIAN SCHOOLS TRUST

The Royal Caledonian Schools Trust (commonly referred to as “The Caley “) aims to help young Scots reach their full educational potential.
Who are eligible?
Children of Scots who have served, or who are serving, in HM Forces.
What can the Caley help with?
School clothing, uniforms, sports equipment, dance clothes, books, activities, trips, musical training, group educational projects – both in UK and worldwide, GAP projects, additional fees.
Education?
Yes, the Caley views education in its widest sense, and welcomes enquiries from all applicants to see if they can be helped.
How old do applicants have to be?
There is no age limit, but the Caley does give preference to children in full time education, and includes those seeking an educational “Second Chance”.
What Else?
The Caley is working with teachers in schools, where there is a high proportion of service children - eg , Edinburgh, Leuchars, Catterick, Inverness and the Morayshire RAF bases, Helensburgh etc, to alert them to the particular needs of service children, and the challenges of having family members on operational postings, and disrupted education.
