Put your best foot forward for war heroes by signing up to the Edinburgh Marathon
On the 22nd May you can put your best foot forward and raise vital funds for veterans by signing up to the Edinburgh Marathon.
The veterans’ charity Erskine, which runs five care homes across Scotland , still has charity-assured places left for those eager to support the war heroes in its care.
The Edinburgh Marathon is rated one of the best running events that takes place in Scotland each year. Held this year on Sunday 22nd May, approximately 30,000 entrants are set to take on the 26-mile course which starts in Edinburgh city centre.
Participants who enlist to Team Erskine will receive a fundraising pack with breathable light-weight running vest, Erskine t-shirt, wristbands and much more. Each runner will also receive Erskine’s fundraising support from the moment they sign up.
Peter Macfarlane, Erskine fundraiser, said: “Not only will you have the chance to undertake a personal challenge putting your fitness to the test, but you will be making a difference to lives of veterans in Scotland by joining Team Erskine. Even if you’ve already signed up to take part, there still time to choose to raise money for Erskine.
We rely on the support of individuals across Scotland through events such as the Edinburgh Marathon to ensure that we continue to care for our ex-Service men and women, as well as serving personnel on current operations. Please put your best foot forward for Erskine and help us continue to make a difference to the lives of even more veterans.”
