ERSKINE BIKERS MEET ....AGAIN
The veterans’ charity Erskine are looking forward to welcoming Bikers from far and wide to the 4th Erskine Bikers Meet to be held on Sunday 29th May 2011 in the grounds of the Erskine Estate in Bishopton.
Over 1,000 bikers on bikes of all shapes, sizes and makes are expected to make the journey to Erskine to join in the fun packed afternoon. With each biker donating £5 to Erskine this is proving to be one of the fundraising highlights of the charity’s year.
From 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm there will be something for everyone. Children can enjoy bouncy castles, and aqua balls and for the adults there will be quad bikes and live rock bands. A variety of stalls including old favourites such as home baking, sweeties and a tombola will also be on hand. An ice cream van, BBQs and tea/coffee on sale ensures every need is catered for.
Erskine Fundraiser Linda O’Malley said: “We are delighted to once again be hosting The Erskine Bikers Meet, every year we welcome bikers from as far away as Yorkshire . We are all keeping our fingers crossed for good weather as that would be the icing on the cake.”
Erskine Chief Executive Major Jim Panton said: “The Erskine Bikers Meet is wonderful way for people to support Erskine and enjoy themselves at the same time. Every single penny raised from the afternoon goes towards the care of our veterans, who I have no doubt will be joining in the afternoon. Why not come along and join in the fun?”
