COLDITZ- THE LEGEND

Colditz- The Legend exclusively to Yesterday, Monday 25th October, 10pm
Colditz showing weeknights from Monday 26th October, 10pm
Yesterday: Sky 537, Virgin 203, Freeview 12

Colditz- The Legend is an emotive account of life inside the renowned prison, showing exclusively on Yesterday on Monday 25th October at 10pm. The documentary will be broadcast as a pre-cursor to the 1970’s drama series Colditz.

The story of Colditz has captured people’s imaginations for decades. The documentary takes a fresh perspective on life inside the castle, using personal stories and details to express the bravery, honour, love and freedom that ultimately defined our history. The prison was known to be one from which no-one could escape, but escape they did. The programme delves deep into some of those incredible escape attempts and ingenious plans prisoners made to get out of the fortress, whilst also touching upon the epic fight for survival and conditions in which prisoners lived.

Paying tribute to the people of its time, Colditz- The Legend is sure to engage with those who know the history of the tale, whilst also inviting a new generation in to discover its mysteries and gain an understanding of the honourable World War Two prison.

Colditz, the series, starring Robert Wagner and David McCallum, has been missing from our screens for over 15 years. The show is back exclusively to Yesterday and is expected to be as popular as before. The series was credited with helping to fuel the legend about the daring escapes made by the inmates.

Tune in to Colditz- The Legend on Monday 25th October at 10pm and Colditz (the series) showing weeknights at 10pm from Monday 26th October exclusively to Yesterday: Sky 537, Virgin 203, Freeview 12
