Catterick School in bid to win new £30,000 playground

Le Cateau Primary School in Catterick Garrison is one of six finalists in the Ronseal Playground Project Competition and the only ‘forces’ school on the shortlist. They are hoping to win £30,000 of playground equipment but are asking for more votes via Facebook to help them secure the top spot.

The School want to build an outdoor memory garden with new outdoor play equipment. Three of the children at the school have lost a father in Afghanistan, 65% of children at the school have a parent serving in foreign conflict zones.

At present Le Cateau are in third place and need 1000 people to vote for them. Anyone wishing to vote should visit the Facebook page of the sponsors, Ronseal UK, ‘like’ that page and then ‘like’ the picture of the playground by going to the photo of the playground in ‘photos’ – finalists,  Le Cateau is the aerial view.  Visit
