For Troops from English National Ballet
English National Ballet
and The Mayflower Theatre Southampton are joining forces with the
charity Tickets For Troops to offer members of the Armed Forces
free tickets for the performances of Romeo & Juliet at The Mayflower
Theatre (02380 711811) in Southampton from 20 – 23 October.
Ten pairs of tickets
have been made available for each performance of the classic Shakespeare
story. This production was originally choreographed especially for
English National Ballet in 1977 by the legendry Rudolf Nureyev in
celebration of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee.
English National Ballet
First Soloist Adela Ramírez will appear in full costume as Juliet
and meet up with members of the Royal Navy on HMS Dauntless at The
Southampton Boat Show to promote this worthy cause.
English National Ballet
has shown their support for our troops by donating free tickets
to the charity which was set up last year to provide free tickets
for serving members of the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Forces
and their families to top cultural, music and sporting events all
over the country.

The charity
was set up last year to provide members of the Armed Forces with
free tickets for major sporting events including football, horse
racing, rugby, darts and cricket matches as well as theatre performances,
music concerts and cultural attractions. Since launching it has
provided over 200,000 tickets and almost 60,000 troops have registered
on the website - www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk

get to see shows, concerts, fights and games virtually free: and
we in the world of entertainment and sport get a chance to show
them that we think they are the best of the best and support them
