1st July Anniversary Battle of the Somme France

Our Patron for the Royal British Legion France is Her Majesty's Ambassador to France Sir Peter Westmascott KCMG LVO, our President being The British Consul General Lille Tim Jones.

We always have a Military Band and the Royal British Legion National Standard on parade, and as many Royal British Legion and association Standards as we can muster. If you, your friends, or branch members and Standard Bearers would like to attend, you would be most welcome.

The services on the Somme are

0730 hrs Lochnagar

1045 hrs Thiepval

1500 hrs Ulster Tower

16:00 Hrs Beaumont Hamel

1630 hrs Guillemont

The Somme Ball

will be held on Monday the 30th June, at the Hotel Mercure Arras (opposite the Station), commencing at 19:30 for 20:00 hrs. Dress Black Tie/lounge suit and medals.

The cost is £30 or €42 includes pre-dinner drinks, four course dinner with wine.

A Quartet from The band of the Hampshire Constabulary will play during dinner.
After Dinner for those able dancing.
