  1. SPVA provides ‘through life’ support functions direct to around 900,000 serving and ex-Service personnel.
  1. SPVA pays salaries, on time, to over 255,000 regular and reserve Service personnel every month.
  1. In a typical week, our Veterans-UK FREE Helpline deals with up to 4,500 calls.  Enquiries range from War Pensions and Veterans Badge applications, to signposting veterans to where they can receive further support from other organisations.
  1. SPVA manages the payment of £13.9 Billion to individuals each year.
  1. The Veterans Advice Team is the first point of contact for Service organisations dealing with homeless veterans.  The Team will investigate and confirm the veteran’s Service history, so further immediate help can be provided by the relevant organisations to secure either accommodation or any other help the veteran needs.
  1. The SPVA's Medal Office is responsible for the assessment, engraving and awarding of about 70,000 current campaign and historic medals a year.
  1. The SPVA's Medal Office still receives around 200 applications a week for medals relating to the Second World War.

  1. Each month, SPVA pays Armed Forces Pensions to over 371,000 people.

  1. The JCCC handles over 86,000 telephone calls a year.

  2. SPVA provide veterans support to anyone who has served in HM Armed Forces, even just for a day.
