Service Personnel and Veterans Agency
Service Personnel and Veterans Agency is the focal point within the Ministry of Defence for offering help and advice to veterans and their families on a wide variety of veterans’ issues. Due to the nature of some enquiries there are times when the Helpline operators have to transfer a call to one of the many ex-Service Organisations who offer practical help and assistance. Unfortunately, Service Personnel and Veterans Agency cannot offer homeless veterans any financial help unless they make a successful claim for a War Disablement Pension. However, both the Helpline staff and War Pensioners’ Welfare Service staff aim to offer as much help and advice and if necessary make contact with the relevant people who can offer homeless veterans help with their immediate needs.
