REMOUNT COURSES
A fresh start
Self realisation and transitional help for veterans endorsed by
The Army Benevolent Fund

Vacancies for February, March April and TV filming,
The Remount Programme and 15 Minute Club are featured on the page seven of the Veterans World Issue 11.

It offers veterans of all three services, who have recently embarked on civilian life after being in the combat zones, four day residential, self realisation courses at Brathay Hall in the Lake District.

The objective of the Remount charity is to provide personnel of the armed forces who are facing civilianisation or have recently embarked on a civilian career,  with the techniques and procedures for managing the dramatic change in cultures on resuming civilian life and to teach them how to take control of their lives, in order to participate fully in society.

For more info visit WWW.Remount.net  Subjects include managing your life, handling PTS and depression, and finding a purpose in life.

Each course comprises between 10 and 16 members and is free to veterans except for a registration fee of £30.

If you are facing the prospect of being a civilian in the next 12 weeks then register now for the February, March, and April and May courses. The first course for married couples will be in April and is expected to be over subscribed

TV Filming
Channel 4 is to make a film around the February and March courses. The theme will be about “people” and their experiences of adapting to civilian life.

The director David Mondell who has directed several memorable programmes about the difficulties of returning from combat, wants to trace the lives of four participants for a period of a few days before they attend the Remount course, during the course itself and concluding a week afterwards. People who have already registered will be contacted personally to enquire whether or not they would be happy to participate.
