Appeal for contemporary witnesses from German production company schmidtFilm

For more than 10 years schmidtFilm has been developing and producing documentary films and TV-documentaries, reportages, feature films and television reports.

We work for a public television broadcasting company, for Dutch television stations and for arte broadcasting. Thematically, we focus on topics of history, art, culture, music, current events of the present day, and science.  Our documentaries, reportages and television reports lead us around the world. Our films tell exciting and entertaining stories. They discover people and cultures, find out unknown aspects of life and search behind the obvious.

What are we looking for?
We are currently working on a documentary film project about the South African, Tanzanian and Namibian internment camps during Worldwar II. For this project, we are looking for former guards and prison wardens of these camps, their relatives or any other contemporary witnesses of this time and place.  Please be assured we treat every story with the appropriate respect.
