Appeal Tribunals
When someone disagrees with the decision made on his or her War Pension/AFCS claim, they may wish to make an appeal and have their case looked at by an independent tribunal. War Pension/AFCS appeals are passed by the Agency to the Ministry of Justice to be listed for a hearing by appeal tribunals. If the tribunal gives a different decision to that of the SPVA, we will implement it as soon as possible, unless the SPVA decides to appeal the Tribunal’s decision further. If the tribunal upholds the SPVA decision you may wish to appeal the Tribunal’s decision further but you would need the grounds to do so. |
