Public Servant of the Year Award 2004
ON MAY 10TH, Mike Bailey, WP Welfare Manager for the Cardiff area attended the
Public Servant of the Year Awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in
London. Mike was nominated for this prestigious award in the ‘Faceworker’ category
and had made his way to the finals having been selected from a list of several
hundred candidates from throughout the United Kingdom.
Although Mike eventually lost out to the overall winner, he
took consolation in the fact that the Veterans Agency had once again gained
a place in the finals. “I am fortunate enough to work in an environment
which encourages initiative and the exploration of ideas for improving service
to our clients,” said Mike, “I would like to thank all those
who contribute to developing that culture.”
