The Agency's Commitment to Quality:
To support and add focus to the drive for excellence in the delivery of public
service and continuous improvement, the Agency has sought and gained a number
of quality awards and accreditation's including:
The North West Business Excellence Award
2005
At an awards ceremony on 9 November, Veterans Agency won The North West Business
Excellence 2005 Award - for public sector organisations with over 250 employees
- in recognition of its outstanding level of organisational excellence and
quality of service.
The annual award is presented by Excellence North West whose jury gave the Agency top place based on evidence gathered by a team of assessors that had visited its Norcross headquarters last June. Their report noted “the organisation was seen to be always striving to improve the services it delivers”
Alan Burnham, Chief Executive of Veterans Agency, part of the Ministry of Defence, accepted the award from Sir Tom Farmer CBE, founder of Kwik-Fit.
Commenting on his organisation’s achievement, Mr Burnham said:
“We are delighted to have received this award and the recognition of the excellent efforts of our staff to support our veterans and their families. We are pleased to have this assurance that we are achieving a high standard of service and it will certainly encourage us to try to do even better in the future”.
